Betty D. Hayes, 84, of Powder Springs, died Sunday, December 18, 2016 at her residence.
A visitation for friends will be held Tuesday, January 10, 2017, 11am until 1pm at Albritton Funeral Directors in Tifton. A private interment will be held in Oakridge Cemetery.
Betty was adopted by her friend Donna Littrell, and was surrounded by her Atlanta family during her illness. She had lived most of her life in Tifton.
Born July 6, 1932 in Florida to the late William L. Hayes and Pauline Stephenson Hayes, Miss Hayes was an active member of First Baptist Church, Tifton where she enjoyed singing in the Senior Choir. She was a devoted employee of First Community Bank of Tifton until her retirement.
Miss Betty is preceded in death by her brother William C. “Billy” Hayes.
