Mrs. Betty Louise Pitts Harris, 90, of Tifton, passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2022 at Southwell Health and Rehab of Adel.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at Tift Memorial Gardens with Rev. Steve Davis and Rev. Landon Alberson officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. at Albritton Funeral Directors before the service at Tift Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Harris grandchildren and great grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Harris was born April 6, 1931 in Cook county to the late Jake Whitaker Pitts and Allie Minerva Nolan Pitts. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Clayborn Harris, two sisters and four brothers. Mrs. Betty loved to socialize with people and was always ready to go on a trip. Shopping and traveling were the highlights of her life. The most important aspect of her life was spending time with her family.
Mrs. Harris is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Lin Goggans of Adel and Brenda and Ronald Betts of Lenox; one son and daughter-in-law, Freddie and Debra Harris of Marietta; her grandchildren, Tiffanee and Chad Crawford, Jamey and Brittany Betts, Jake Goggans, Carlyle Harris, Hank and Jordan Harris and Sarah Harris and Jacob Chandler; her great grandchildren, Brooks Crawford, Cason Crawford, Colt Betts and Tate Betts; two sisters, Opal Hines and Jeanette Franklin.
