Bettie “Sue” Belflower Rowell, a compassionate soul and a dedicated registered nurse, passed away at her residence in Ocilla, Georgia. She was born in Tift County, Georgia, on February 27, 1940. Sue leaves behind a legacy of kindness and care that will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Throughout her life, Sue pursued excellence in all her endeavors. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at West Georgia College, showcasing her commitment to helping others through her work as a nurse. Her career was marked by professionalism and empathy, touching the lives of many with her healing touch.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Sue was known for her warm and nurturing personality. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as reading, tending to her vibrant flower garden, and showering love on her beloved dogs and cats. Her love for animals was evident to all who visited her home.
One of Sue’s proudest accomplishments was being a member of Lenox Christian Fellowship, where she found solace and community. Her faith was a guiding light in her life and provided her with strength and comfort in times of need.
Sue will be deeply missed by her surviving family members: her children, Debra Edenfield of Atlanta, Deedie Morgan of Atlanta, Denise Aultman of Ocilla, Charlene and Wayne Griffin of Lenox, and Sean Blackwell of Tifton. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and one great great grandchild who brought immense joy to her life.
In eternal rest, Sue is reunited with her beloved husband, James C. Rowell; her father, Cornelius Parks Belflower; her mother, Sarah Lucille Hall, as well as one grandchild. May she be remembered for the love she shared, the lives she touched, and the light she brought into the world.
