Bernice Davis Peavy, 60, of Tifton died Monday, June 5, 2017 at Heart of Georgia Hospice Inpatient in Perry.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Thursday, June 8, 2017 in Albritton Funeral Directors Chapel with Rev. Larry Layfield officiating. Interment will follow at Oakridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12:30-1:45pm before the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Peavy was born in Macon on February 6, 1957 to the late Walter Edward and Nellie Irene Chapman Davis. She was married to the late Gregory Peavy and graduated from Moultrie Technical School in 1985 as a welder. While living in Orlando she worked as a banquet server, later she returned to Tifton to care for her family and owned a trailer park. Mrs. Peavy was a dog breeder and loved her dogs and shopping. Her family was the center of her life.
Mrs. Peavy is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Valerie and Jack Nipper of Perry; one grandchild, Kiara Peavy and one brother, Robert Davis of Chula.
