Barbara Ann McEntyre, born on April 26, 1962, in Tifton, Georgia, departed this life on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, in Omega, Georgia. A cherished member of her community and a beloved family matriarch, Barbara leaves behind a legacy shaped by her kindness, love, and devotion.
Having dedicated 20 years of her life as a Pharmacy Technician at Walmart, Barbara brought a sense of care and compassion to all those around her. Throughout her career, she made a lasting impact on her colleagues and customers alike, treating everyone with respect and genuine warmth.
Barbara's life was deeply rooted in her Christian faith; she found solace and joy in reading, especially the Bible, allowing her spirituality to guide her daily actions. Known for her loving and kind personality, she never spoke ill of others and exemplified what it meant to “put on the armor of God” in her interactions.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Barbara found joy in her hobbies and interests. She loved spending time reading, gardening, working on jigsaw puzzles, and cooking. Her greatest pride was her family, and she relished the opportunity to cook for her loved ones. She was particularly devoted to her children, grandchildren and great-grandson, pouring her heart into her relationships with them and creating cherished memories that will endure through generations.
Barbara is survived by her husband of forty-seven years, Tommy McEntyre; her mother, Mary Etoile Boatner McClelland; her father, James Wade McClelland, Sr.; her sons, Matthew Brian McEntyre, Sr. (Samantha) and Shannon Lee McEntyre; her brother, Jeffrey Wade McClelland; her sister, Deidra Denise McClelland; her grandchildren, Chasity Elizabeth McEntyre, Emma Victoria Smith, Matthew Brian McEntyre, Jr., Alissa Marie McEntyre (Shawn), Lauren Paige McEntyre, Jessica Leann Fielder and Logan Scott McEntyre, Jeffery Wade McClelland, Jr. and Tabitha McCelland; as well as her great-grandson, Kincade Josiah Rowsey.
As we remember Barbara Ann McEntyre, let us carry forward the kindness, love, and light that she shared with all of us. Her spirit will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
