Barbara Janette (Sims) Harrell

Mrs. Barbara Janette Sims Harrell, 78, of Tifton passed away on Monday, June 6, 2022, at Tift Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, June 10, 2022 in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Chaplain Andrews officiating. Interment will follow at Old Valley Grove primitive Baptist Church in Irwin County. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 9, 2022 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Harrell’s grandsons, Jessie Harrell, Casey Harrell, Mikey Harrell, John Williams, Daniel McMillian and Quincy Allen will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Nicholas Harrell, Tommy Harrell, Blade Harrell and Seth Harrell.

Mrs. Harrell was born February 12, 1944 in Greenwood Springs, Mississippi to the late Itha Ryan Sims and Eunice Audine Renfro Sims. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Lanette Williams, her brother, Danny Sims and her sister, Nancy Brewer. She was of Baptist faith and formerly employed with Bowen-McCranie Egg Company. Mrs. Harrell loved to sew, make twirlies and crafts.

Mrs. Harrell is survived by her husband, Russell Harrell, Jr. of Tifton; two sons and daughters-in-law, Billy and Teresa Harrell of Nashville and Michael and Yavette Harrell of Brookfield; her daughter and son-in-law, Rochelle and Kenneth Rasnick of Mims, FL; thirteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; her sister, Linda Halloway of Hamilton, Miss.
