Antonio Arturo Cervantes

November 1, 1958 — January 24, 2025

Omega, Georgia

Antonio Arturo Cervantes, a cherished member of the Omega community, passed away on January 24, 2025, at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, Georgia. Born on November 1, 1958, in San Juan De Sabinas, Coahuila, Mexico, Antonio's life was a celebration of hard work, family, and deep-rooted community values.

As the owner of Cervantes Auto Sales, he was dedicated to his business and was known for his integrity and commitment to his customers. Beyond his professional life, Antonio was a devoted family man. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Rosana Castro Cervantes; his son, Roberto Cervantes (Jennifer) of Tifton, Georgia; his daughters, Veronica Cervantes Alvarez (Olvin) of Orlando, Florida, and Jacqueline Cervantes Childers (Justin) of Athens, Georgia. He was a proud grandfather to Alan Alvarez, Carson Cervantes, Isaac Cervantes, Andre Alvarez, Alejandro Alvarez, Madilyn Cervantes, Allison Alvarez, Mia Childers, and Lizzy Alvarez.

Antonio was also a nurturing brother, survived by his sister, Enedina Delgado of Omega, Georgia, and his brothers, Juan Roberto Delgado, Fermin Palomares, and Luis Palomares, all of Omega, Georgia. He is remembered fondly by several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

One of Antonio's proudest accomplishments was his ability to bring family together. Often referred to as the glue that held the family together, he took great joy in grilling for his loved ones, sharing stories, and providing support to anyone in need. His hard-working nature was matched only by his dedication to making others feel welcome.

In his community, he was known for his involvement in local events, specifically as a member of the establishing committee for the Fiesta Del Pueblo Festival celebrated annually in Tifton, Georgia. This festival was a testament to his commitment to fostering community spirit and inclusiveness.

Antonio is preceded in death by his father, Roberto Cervantes Gutierrez; his mother, Petra Soto Ruiz; and his sister, Maria Guadalupe Cervantes. His legacy of love, support, and hard work will continue to inspire all who had the privilege to know him.
