Annie "Ann" Jewel (Folsom) Shoulders

Mrs. Annie “Ann” Jewel Folsom Shoulders, 92, of Tifton passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held, Sunday, October 3, 2021 at 3:00 P.M. at Albritton Funeral Directors chapel with Mr. Harold Chambers and Mr. Larry Stewart officiating. Interment will follow in Oakridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 2:45 P.M. at the funeral home before the service. Covid precautions will be observed.

Mrs. Shoulders was born September 26, 1929 in Cook County, Georgia to the late Henry Lee Folsom and Annie Young Folsom. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harris Meador Shoulders to whom she was married for sixty-two years and who died May 13, 2009;; five sisters, Leona Revels, Eva Clements, Eleanor Harvey, Helen Folsom and Hazel Folsom; one brother, Melvin Folsom and also, two infant sisters and her second husband J. B. Womack. Mrs. Shoulders was a member of Ridge Avenue Church of Christ of Tifton. She had lived in Tift County most of her life and had attended Tift County Schools. Miss Ann was an excellent cook who enjoyed reading and watching her favorite T.V. Shows, “The Walton’s” and “Gunsmoke”. She loved her family dearly and was the last of six siblings. She was a woman of faith who loved her Lord and was active in her church. Miss Ann took great care of herself and her outward beauty remained flawless.

Mrs. Shoulders is survived by her two sons, Randall Lee Shoulders and Richard Wayne Shoulders both of Tifton; her daughter Vicky Shoulders Creel of Albany; four grandchildren, Brandie and Chris Place, Jessica and Barry Downs, Honey Bolton and Richard Meador Shoulders; two great grandchildren, Gavin Place and Grayson Downs.  The Shoulders family would like to say a special thank you to Linda, Paula, Candius, Mary and Kathy of Hospice of Tiftarea.
