Alvaro Tenorio

Mr. Alvaro Tenorio, 73, of Nashville passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 3:00 P.M. at Albritton Funeral Directors chapel with Rev. Landon Alberson officiating. Eulogies will be provided by his family. The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. until time of the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Tenorio was born April 14, 1948 in Buga, Colombia, South America to the late Rogerio Tenorio and Rita Cuellar Tenorio. He was a truck driver for Harvey’s Grocery Stores and a member of First Assembly of God of Tifton. In 1969 Mr. Tenorio came to Tifton from Columbia as one of the first exchange students at ABAC where he excelled in soccer and tennis. He was an excellent cook who loved his family dearly. Alvaro loved working hard outside, listening to music and making people laugh. In 1993 he married the love of his life, Cindy Westfall to whom he was married for twenty-eight years.

Mr. Tenorio is survived by his wife, Cindy Westfall Tenorio of Nashville; three daughters, Maria Tenorio of Atlanta, Erica Tenorio of Colombia, South America and April Tuli Tenorio and Oliver Moffett, II of Nashville; two sons, Andres and Tracy Tenorio of Atlanta and Alvaro Jose Tenorio of Colombia, South America; six grandchildren and one great grandchild; two sisters, Esperanza Tenorio and Adriana Tenorio both of Colombia, South America and one brother, Carlos Tenorio of Atlanta. His four step-daughters, Crystal Garren, Landa McWilliams, Nicole Landrum and Jessica Newton; two step-sons, Tristan Carr and Christan Carr.
